Accounts Receivable Specialist (FTC, 6 months)
Type: Full-time, 6-month fixed term contract with the opportunity of transitioning to a permanent role, subject to performance.
Location: UK remote or UK hybrid with access to London Paddington office.
THE ROLE
Climate Impact Partners, a leading provider of high-quality carbon credit programmes, is looking for a detail-orientated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team, initially on a fixed-term basis for 6-months.
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for accurate and timely management of customer accounts, invoicing and collections. This role is crucial for maintaining cash flow and fostering strong relationships with our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with Salesforce and Business Central.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Invoice Management: : Generate and issue accurate invoices using Salesforce; ensure all billing information is correct and in compliance with company policies. Submit and track invoice status through client portals such as SAP Ariba to ensure timely payment and resolve any portal-related issues.
- Customer Account Management: Maintain up-to-date records of customer accounts in Salesforce; track payment status and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Collections: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with clients on overdue invoices.
- Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyse AR reports to provide insights into cash flow and outstanding receivables; present findings to management as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales team to address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to billing, payments and client portal submissions.
- Supplier Onboarding: Manage the supplier onboarding process for clients, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and aligned with company requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as relevant tax and VAT requirements.
- Systems and process improvement: Collaborate with the finance team to test and implement new systems, tools, or process changes that enhance AR performance.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounts receivable or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions for data analysis and reporting
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
- Experience within a fast paced, high growth business environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated attitude and ability to work independently
Desirable:
- Previous experience with Salesforce and Business Central
- Previous experience submitting and tracking invoices via client portals, such as SAP Ariba or similar systems
