The Role
For the past five years, Climate Impact Partners has produced a flagship study on the climate commitments of the Fortune Global 500 (FG500) – a representative sample of public and private companies worldwide. This year, rather than replicating the same analysis, we are broadening the scope of our research to focus on wider climate action trends, with the FG500 forming an important part of this broader analysis.
As a Data Analysis Intern, you will play a key role in shaping this year’s study. Over two months, you will:
- Build familiarity with net zero, carbon neutral, and science-based targets, as well as renewable energy commitments.
- Lead data collection from company sustainability reports and press releases, with opportunities to use web scraping tools where applicable.
- Clean and analyse data to identify trends across sectors, profitability, and emissions profiles.
- Support insight generation and storytelling, working closely with our Marketing Team to produce a compelling research publication.
This internship offers hands-on experience at the intersection of data analysis, sustainability, and communications – helping to shape insights that reveal how leading companies are responding to climate challenges.
This role is a 2 month full-time or part-time position with a minimum of 15-20 hours per week.
YOUR IMPACT
- Help track and interpret how the world’s largest companies are engaging with climate action.
- Support the development of a new, broader analysis of climate trends, with the FG500 as a key input.
- Gain practical experience in data analysis, insight generation, and cross-team collaboration.
- Contribute to one of Climate Impact Partners’ most visible and respected publications, used by clients and stakeholders to inform their climate strategies.

About Climate Impact Partners
Climate Impact Partners delivers solutions for action on climate. Together with the world’s leading companies and quality project partners we will reduce 1 billion tonnes of CO2 to transform the global economy, improve health and livelihoods, and restore a thriving planet.
Climate Impact Partners builds on the expertise, integrity, and innovation of two companies that have led the voluntary carbon market, Natural Capital Partners and Climate Care. Fueled by a relentless drive for rapid action and results, our global team continues to pioneer the market’s development, and set the standards for quality that will maximize its impact.
What we do
We believe that carbon markets have a critical role to play in delivering action by putting a price on carbon and funding carbon reduction projects to meet our global climate goals.
We develop and deliver the highest quality carbon financed projects from which we create carbon credit and energy attribute certificate portfolios for our clients. This enables organizations to offset the emissions they can’t reduce, put a price on carbon to incentivize change, and meet their ambitious climate goals.
Who we work with
We work with leading corporates, NGOs, and governments to deliver solutions for climate impact, ensuring they meet their carbon neutral, net zero, and renewable energy goals.
